for additional land and program expansions into the next 10 years and beyond. Feed the Soil + Feed the Soul, will grow our operations and scale our impact for generations to create the Los Angeles we want to see.

Join us as we raise $10 million

LAND

  • Acquire land to develop urban farms throughout LA County for a combined 5 acres replicating ALMA’s proven urban farming model to grow and distribute a potential of 600,000 lbs of food annually.

  • Land development and urban greening will replicate ALMA’s Farm Stand and Marketplace as a resource for community members to access nutrient dense and culturally relevant food.

  • Development of acquired land will also include infrastructure and a greenhouse for farm production, an indoor space and commercial kitchen for ALMA’s educational initiatives and training programs.

  • Scale up outreach and employment opportunities for up to 100 persons formerly incarcerated each year.

  • Expand education programs for up to 2,500 youth and families each year.

  • Increase food distribution through Farm Stands for up to 50,000 families each year.

  • Create a multi-generational Farm Stand + green space for community access to nutritious food, cultural bonds, and social well-being. 

  • Employ + empower formerly incarcerated individuals as ALMA’s staff & leadership for long-term career development and successful re-entry.

  • Advance climate-smart urban agriculture by researching, developing + implementing efficient, innovative food-growing methods.
